I’m pleased to present my latest oil painting, "Dark Anemone Blooms." This 8 by 10 inch piece features a bouquet of white and soft pink anemones set in a deep blue vase. I painted it on a black acrylic gesso board, which gave the dark background a rich depth and helped me highlight the delicate petals and subtle color shifts in the flowers. The muted purple surface beneath the vase adds quiet contrast and a touch of warmth to the composition. I wanted to capture the calm beauty of anemones in a way that feels both intimate and timeless.
