I'm excited to share my newest painting "Gaze of the Quiet Hunter." This is a 16x20 inch piece and is a close-up of a leopard resting its head, where the intense eyes take center stage. I worked with Oil over Acrylic to capture the warm tones of the fur and the detailed pattern of spots. Using expressive brush strokes to bring life and texture to the surface. Incorporating the color green was important part of the process, layered over a yellow and orange underpainting the purple tones make this more vibrant. This painting reflects my ongoing fascination with big cats and the quiet strength they embody. I hope it draws you in and invites a moment of pause to appreciate the focus and calm in this gaze.
