At 5 by 7 inches, this piece offers an intimate close-up of an eagle’s head, where careful brushwork blends warm browns and soft whites to bring the feathers to life. The eagle’s sharp yellow eye and beak stand out against a muted green backdrop, emphasizing its focused and powerful presence. Inspired by the spirit of freedom celebrated on the Fourth of July, this painting grew through an experimental process, allowing me to explore blending techniques in a small format.
